Privacy Policy
How we handle your information
This policy explains what we collect, why we hold it, and the control you keep over your student record.
Information we collect
- Application details: name, date of birth, contact details and prior education.
- Academic records: registration, course grades, credits, grade point average and awards conferred.
- Financial information: tuition payments, instalment plans and financial support decisions.
- Portal and website data: sign-in sessions, pages viewed and technical information such as browser type.
How we use it
We use your information to assess applications, register you for courses, maintain your academic record, issue transcripts and certificates, administer payments, provide student support, and meet legal and reporting obligations.
Release of student records
Official transcripts and enrolment records are issued to the student. Records are released to third parties — including employers, agencies and family members — only with the written consent of the student, except where disclosure is required by law. Official transcripts are printed on security paper and bear a raised seal; a black-and-white copy is not an original.
Cookies
The website uses strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in to the student portal and to remember your preferences. We do not sell your information or use it for third-party advertising.
Storage, retention and security
Portal sessions are encrypted and expire automatically. Access to student records is limited to staff who need it for their work. Academic records are retained permanently so that transcripts and degree verification remain available; application and financial records are retained for as long as required by law.
Your rights and contact
You may ask to see the information we hold about you, request correction of an error in your record, or withdraw consent for a disclosure. Write to the Office of the University Registrar at 2711 Centerville Road, Wilmington, DE 19808, or telephone (302) 348-8799.
